Driving impact for Sweden and Europe through academia–industry collaboration
Since 2015, WASP has shaped the future of Sweden’s knowledge economy. WASP Academia and Industry Days spotlights some of the core components of the program, where collaboration between academia, industry and society lies at the heart.
To fulfill WASP’s mission of supporting excellent research that benefits Swedish industry and society long-term, the program is organized around several core components, and some of them are:
- Ensuring dialogue between academia and industry.
- Recruiting prominent researchers to Sweden and strenghten Swedish research capabilities.
- Building a national graduate school with a focus on excellent research and networking.

Collaboration lies at the heart of WASP, and is key to ensuring that Sweden possesses the technological strength needed for competitiveness, sustainability, and security. WASP Academia and Industry Days is our most vibrant event of the year, where representatives from academia, industry and society meet to turn these words into action.
The theme this year is Driving impact for Sweden and Europe through academia–industry collaboration. The event offers a compelling program from world leading keynotes and visionary talks to hands-on seminars on Sweden’s job market and competence need today.
Are you a researcher or PhD student?
A key feature of WASP Academia and Industry Days 2025 will be an exhibition area where companies, research initiatives and groups, and organisations can showcase their work to participants. This will be a chance for you as a researcher to find companies to work with in your research or after graduation. The hands-on seminar sessions will address topics such as the Swedish AI job market and possible career paths for PhD students.
As a company representative, why is this event interesting for you?
Gathering Sweden’s most prominent researchers within AI, autonomous systems and software, this event is the ultimate way to make new research collaborations and meet the fresh AI-competence Sweden possesses. WASP graduates more than one doctor a week and several of them will be there.

Accomodation and travels must be booked by each particpant individually.
Who can participate?
Companies and organizations with activities in Sweden and a research interest, decision-makers, WASP researchers including postdocs, and WASP PhD students are welcome to participate in WASP Academia and Industry Days.
